On a Mission
The inspiration for Teach Me started when my family adopted my youngest brother from Russia. At eighteen months old, he had few sounds, little eye contact and displayed behaviors such as head banging. I remember my mother trying to redirect his attention as he lined up shoes or separated toys into color-coded piles on the floor. By age two, his obsession for structure along with poor communication skills drove my parents to seek professional help.
As the oldest of five children, I recall my mom working tirelessly. From school district red tape to frustrated therapists who readily gave up, she ran into dead ends time and time again. However, her perseverance paid off, when one dedicated therapist, through the use of sign language taught my brother to speak. By the beginning of kindergarten, he was saying three word sentences, by the end of that year he'd risen to the highest reading group. Being the big sister, I admired the therapist for the time and care she gave my brother. Watching his communication skills and confidence grow inspired me to one day make a difference in other children's lives, especially ones who are often overlooked.
Once I became an ABA therapist, I knew I found my calling and passion. As founder and director of Teach Me, I am passionate to offer children a way to grow and learn.

Behavior Therapy
Teach Me LLC provides intensive individual behavior therapy based on the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) and Skinner's Analysis of Verbal Behavior (VB) to focus on areas of development including behavior, language, social, academic and self-help. Teach Me provides services within the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities from birth to 11 years old*. Admission is determined on a case-by-case basis.
Prior to starting therapy, your child receives a comprehensive evaluation that assesses your child's skill set across the domains of behavior, language, social, academic and self-help. A written report including formal recommendations is provided. Your child is assigned a team of therapists and a Program Supervisor, who oversees your child's progress. Services are provided at your home and at Teach Me Therapy Center in a one-to-one ratio. Our hybrid program allows for treatment to occur in multiple environments. In order to provide a highly individualized program for your child, there is a minimum requirement of 7.5 hours of ABA therapy weekly consisting of three sessions over three separate days with at least one session at the center.
Services are provided Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm in three 2.5 hour sessions:
9:00 am to 11:30 am
12:30 pm to 3:00 pm
3:00 pm to 5:30 pm
In-Home
12:00 pm to 2:30 pm
Parents are considered a vital part of their child's therapy team. Your child's success is highly dependent on continuity across all environments which requires you to become familiar with your child's program in order to carry over lessons in your everyday life. Parents are required to attend and participate in parent overlaps. Parents receive two hours of direct training per month. Parent overlaps teach the parent management skills of how to continue to teach and generalize taught skills and how to identify skills to teach in the future. It occurs in the home, center, and community settings and involves intensive direction, skill teaching, and feedback.
Please feel free to download a Teach Me Brochure from the window on the left.
*Those individuals 12 years old or older are serviced through our Aspire Adolescent and Adult Center.
Speech Therapy
Speech services include comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, sensory, and pragmatics to provide individualized therapy in one-on-one settings to meet each child's needs. Licensed and certified speech language pathologists (SLP) and speech language pathologist assistants (SLP-Assistant) provide therapy for sensory integration dysfunction of the oral motor structures, feeding disorders, social pragmatic language disorders, articulation disorders, receptive and expressive language disorders and auditory processing disorders.
For those families also receiving ABA therapy at our center, co-treatment sessions are available in which both the ABA therapist and the SLP work together simultaneously on your child's goals. The SLP or SLP-assistant supplements your child's existing ABA program by directly working with your child as well as your child's ABA therapists in the areas of speech and language. Your speech therapist will work very closely with your Program Supervisor in designing treatment goals and teaching procedures.
Services are provided at Teach Me Therapy Center Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. Therapy is provided in 1 hour sessions.
Social Thinking Groups
Teach Me LLC provides social thinking groups for children aged 4-8* years old that need additional help to develop social thinking skills. The purpose of this program is to offer opportunities to support children in socially navigating the world around them.
In order to start services, a social group screening is scheduled to determine goodness of fit. During the screening, your child is recorded participating in the social group activities for an hour. Then, the video is reviewed with you to determine admission into the program.
Social Group services are provided at Teach Me Therapy Center on Tuesday from 1:00 pm -3:00 pm and Thursday from 3:15 pm -5:15 pm.
